The Buckeyes got a big win and moved up to 4th in the polls with all the big upsets.

QB Efird tosses Wonders to win over the Rebels.

The Wonders have hit the easy part of their schedule with a blowout, 48-21. The game was never in doubt, and it was just a matter of what the final score would be. I'm afraid this is how it's going to be until we play concord on Nov. 2. I sure wish we were in a better conference.

Enough said: Hall's implosion dooms Falcons!

That was very interesting in the third quarter when DeAngelo Hall went "postal". He got 3 penalties for 67 yards to help us to the tying touchdown. Steve Smith was having a bad game, but Hall bailed him out with his junk. We will have to play better next Sunday to beat the Tampa Bay Bucs. That will be a big game, because the winner will be in first place in the South after a quarter of the season.

Wonders dominate, win easily against Marvin Ridge.

I didn't make the trip to Waxhaw last night, because I figured it would be this type of game. Marvin is a brand new school, with no seniors, and no match for the Wonders at this time. I know as long as Bruce Hardin is coaching there, they will be a threat in a few years.

Concord Basketball Coach Poplin resigns for breaking NCHSAA rules!

I knew they were cheating in spiderland with their football (half championships) and the basketball they won last year. I think we need to investigate what EZ is doing down there. Panthers take away win from St. Louis 27-13.

The Panthers have started this year better than last season. This time last year, we were 0-1 and lost three starters to injuries. The rams had their own big injury with offensive lineman Orlando Pace got hurt late in the first half. It was very obvious the difference the rams offense was when he left the game. The Panthers took advantage and left St Louis with the "W". They will host the Texans next week and should have a good chance to start 2-0.

‘UGLY’ WIN IS ’DAWG-GONE PRETTY!

I have another article about the Gamecocks big win over Georgia yesterday. It was sweet! It's been 6 years since we won in Athens. It was not your typical Spurrier win, but it was good enough last night. Now, we have SC State at home and then a trip to Baton Rouge for LSU. That will be the ultimate test for the Gamecocks.

Saints, Vick put NFC South in play

I hope that Scott Fowler is right that the South will be wide open for the Panthers to step up and take. The Saints have been blown out the last 2 games (of course, against the Super Bowl teams from last year). The Falcons have been "dog bitten" and have Joey Harrington now as their starting quarterback. The Bucs were not good last year and we hope they stay that way.

Wonders 28 @ Sun Valley 10

6:39 PM "I will be writing this blog as I listen to the game on Ford Broadcasting Online (I'm glad that Chad finally got this hooked up after years of Raider football online, which is the only thing that the Raiders have beaten us at in the last few years). Sun Valley is a good drive from Kannapolis, and after wathcing Venus lose to Hardin, I decided to stay home and listen to Wonder Football Online (I will be watching NAVY play Rutgers at the same time, Go NAVY!!!)"

7:13 PM "Navy stopped #15 Rutgers on their opening drive. Good News."

7:21 PM "Sun Valley's band performs the national Anthem"

7:25 PM "Rutgers takes a 7-0 lead over Navy. Let's hope that Navy can bounce back on the road in New Jersey"

7:30 PM "The broadcast team seems to be surrounded by some bad spartans with some annoying horns. Sun Valley gets the opening kickoff and begins on the 30 yard line"

7:34 PM "Wonders defense stops Sun Valley and the offense begins on the Spartans 44 yard line. First play, Lewis rushes for 24 yards down to the 20"

7:39 PM "Wonders score on a 20 yard TD pass on third down. Wonders lead 7-0"

7:49 PM "Spartans take the ball on the 30 and march 70 yards for a touchdown. It sounds like this is going to be a old fashioned shootout. 7-7"

"Navy is now trailing Rutgers 14-0"

8:07 PM "Spartans kick a 37 yard field goal to take the lead 10-7. The Wonders are use to this, trailing in every game this year. Navy is now trailing 14-7."

8:15 PM "The refs are beginning to cheat. We went for fourth and one, and the ref placed the ball short of the first down. Poor mark"

8:21 PM "OH NO, THE SIGNAL IS DOWN! PHONE LINE IS BUSY! HELP, THE WONDERS WERE DRIVING TO TRY AND SCORE! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS, AND CHAD IS AT THE BEACH AND NOT ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!"

8:33 PM "The connection is back, and the halftime score is 10-7. I guess it may not be a shootout after all. Rutgers is up 17-7 with seconds before halftime, on the Navy 20 yard line."

8:58 PM "I DON'T KNOW WHO'S RUNNING THINGS, BUT IT KEEPS GOING IN AND OUT, AND COMMERICALS PLAYING WHEN THE GAME IS ON!"

9:10 PM "TOUCHDOWN K-TOWN, The Wonders have retaken the lead 14-10"

9:15 PM "Oh no, we intercept a Valley pass, and then fumble it back to them on the return."

9:26 PM "Lewis rushes for a 35 yard TD run! It looks like Lewis is becoming a big weapon for the Wonders! He had three TD's last week. Wonders lead 21-10!

9:31 PM "SIGNAL IS GONE AGAIN!!! I THINK I'M GOING TO SCREAM!!! CHAD CAN ONLY TAKE VACATIONS ON THE WONDERS OPEN DATE IN THE FUTURE!!!"

9:36 PM "Fourth Quarter begins with the Wonders on the 50 yard line!"

9:42 PM "Wonders are stopped and Sun Valley has the ball back, just as the signal goes out AGAIN"

9:43 PM "Wonders score again, but I have no idea what happened since the signal is screwed up. Wonders 28-10"

9:49 PM "The signal is crystal clear at the moment. The Wonders have just intercepted a Valley pass and hopefully get out of there with a big Win in the SPC!"

9:56 PM "Wonders recover a fumble with under 5:00 minutes to go"

10:05 PM "Wonders win 28-10!"
