Panthers agree to contract with backup QB Testaverde (Age 43)!

This is great news for all of us over 40 (Darel Canup will join us on Friday)! We have one of our own who now can pass a physical (which is more difficult to pass when your over 40).

Steve Spurrier returns to Chapel Hill!

Wow, this has to be one of the best articles of the year. It brings back great memories of Duke's ACC Championship in 89. The photo of the team in front of the unc scoreboard, 41-0 was priceless. The quotes from Spurrier in the article were a great shot at the tarheels. He has such a sense of humor, he could have been a great comedy writer if his football career did not work out. I'm looking forward to the game on Saturday as the Gamecocks prove they are the real "CAROLINA"!!

Losing Jake jolts franchise that needs his leadership!

I do have one question about Jake's injury. I heard that he has had pain in that elbow for up to 3 years, so why did he not do something about it earlier (preventive health care) that could have prevented this injury. Oh Well, Let's Go Panthers and David Carr!!

Years later, Spurrier remains a lightning rod to unc fans!

It's going to be sweet to see Spurrier returning to Chapel Hill this Saturday (I just wish it was as DUKE'S Coach). This is a great article about Duke's 41-0 win in 1989 with Coach Spurrier leading the Blue Devils to the Conference Championship that year! It truly was the "good ol' days" for Duke Football.

Indians tell Yanks to "Bug Off"

I'm not a huge baseball fan, but I do enjoy watching the playoffs. I could not believe the "plague" of insects that struck in the 8th inning that helped the Indians force extra innings, and eventually a win in the 11th. It was amazing, and the bugs were amazing.

Sean May done for the season!

Wow, I'm shocked that May will not play one game this year! I would like to know which player in Charlotte (Sean May or Dan Morgan) has missed more games in their careers (by percentage). Incredible, but at least May can concentrate on illegal recruiting for "ol roy".

Top 10, Here We Come! Gamecocks beat Kentucky, 38-23!

Gamecocks continue to improve and defeat number 8 Kentucky on Thursday. It looks like Lee Corso could be eating some "crow" at the end of the season.

How Dry Is It?

It's so dry in North Carolina?
The Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling,
The Methodists are using wet-wipes,
ThePresbyterians are giving out rain-checks,
The Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water.

Now THAT's Dry.

Felton's best dish: Optimism as Bobcats Open Practice!

I sure hope the Bobcats have more "heart" than our Panthers do according to Kris Jenkins.

Bobcats' May misses practice to see orthpedists!

I love this story. Sean May was healthy enough for an "illegal" pickup game this summer to help unc cheat, but he's not able practice on opening day for the Bobcats. What a Loser! May is becoming a wasted draft pick.

Charlotte Observer | 10/02/2007 | Bobcats' May misses practice to see orthpedists

May says he misunderstood NCAA rules!

Riiiiight!!! I don't believe it for one minute. We all know that unc has been cheating for years. I hope they finally get busted, but I doubt it.

Duke's Paulus Awaits Healthy Chance this season!

It's October, so it means that basketball will be cranking up with Midnight Madness and practice.
Let's Go DUKE!!!

Panthers coming unhinged.

I was wanting tickets for this game, but I'm so glad that I did not get any. I would have hated to have wasted another 4 hours watching that "garbage". It was horrible to watch the first half live, and then the second half on tape. I may have to watch the rest of the season on tape, so I can fast forward the commercials and the time between plays. I hope the things that Jenkins said in the locker room will be the thing to turn things around, but I'm not so sure. I think it's time to begin looking for a new coach.
Please Bill Cowher, come down from Raleigh and help us.

Buckeyes remain unbeaten with win at Minnesota.

The Buckeyes got a big win and moved up to 4th in the polls with all the big upsets.

The tarheels sure played the hokies closer than most people thought. I actually was actually pulling for the hokies to lose.

Gamecocks wraps up a victory over Mississippi State.

The Gamecocks were able to survive the upset bug that struck college football. It was amazing to see that 5 of the top 10 teams lost.

Devils put up a fight but fall short at Miami.

It sure is nice to see that we are not getting crushed in every game this year. I think we have a good chance to beat Wake Forest this Saturday in Durham.

QB Efird tosses Wonders to win over the Rebels.

The Wonders have hit the easy part of their schedule with a blowout, 48-21. The game was never in doubt, and it was just a matter of what the final score would be. I'm afraid this is how it's going to be until we play concord on Nov. 2. I sure wish we were in a better conference.

I hope Carr is able to "Drive" the Panthers to first place in the NFC South on Sunday afternoon.
