Pitting pitiful 1-15
Panthers vs. '07 version!

I hope we don't win another game so we can get a high draft pick. It doesn't do any good to go 7-9 or 8-8 and get a mid first round pick. We need a quarterback or McFadden from Arkansas.

I may have to get some season tickets next year if we get a good coach! I wonder if after the gamecocks collapse, steve spurrier would like to come back. I can dream, can't I!!!

Duke loses to unc in overtime.

The football season is finally over, and I hope the powers that be decided to either put some money, time, and effort into football (including a new coach). If Wake, UConn, Vandy, and others can win, so can DUKE!!!

Good to the last kick as Gamecocks lose their 5th Straight.

Wow, what a horrible ending to such a promising season. The Gamecocks were ranked 6th in the nations, had beaten Georgia, and were in first place in the SEC East. I'm not sure what, but some evil came upon the Gamecocks at halftime of the unc game in chapel hell. I'm not sure what kind of voodoo, witchcraft, or something worse that the holes did to the real CAROLINA, but the gamecocks never recovered.

Allen's basket at the buzzer sinks Charlotte

I could not believe my eyes as I watched the final quarter of this game. The Bobcats were playing great, even with Gerald Wallace out of the game with an injury. The Bobcats were us 2 with 4 seconds to go, and could not inbound the ball. Boston stoled the pass, and Ray Allen hit a 3 at the buzzer for the win. That was an unbelievable ending to a basketball game with paid players.

It looks like this is one of the many championships that we will be winning this year. Kyle Singler looks like the real deal, and if he stay all for years, he could be as hated as Christian Laettner.

No. 13 Duke gets a chance at a fourth Maui Championship!

Duke has a chance to get payback from Marquette. They beat us last November, and they have most of their team back, so this will be a good chance to see how much better this year's Duke team is compared to last year.

Blue Devils rock Tigers early, often.

Well, by time I got back from Atlanta, the game was no longer in doubt. I'm not sure it ever was, but it's amazing to see us able to score points this year. I think we are going to have a really good year, and maybe get to start some new streaks this year.

The Bobcats continue to stay just above .500 at 5-4. We have a few more home games this week, and we need to try and take advantage of them. We are in second place in the southeast, so I hope we can challenge for a playoff spot in April.

The Buckeyes finish the season at 11-1 after defeating the sorry wolverines. The Buckeyes will be going to the Rose Bowl, unless we can get some help to get back to the National Championship game. Wonders' win streak concludes - Independent Tribune - Concord and Kannapolis

Wow, what a disappointing end to the season. It was good to see that we have caught up to Catholic on talent, but we still have to catch up to them on game management. We made too many mistakes (turnovers, time management, etc) last night. We really did not manage the 2 minute offense at the end, and that cost us the game.

I think if we can find a quarterback to replace Efird, we should be really good again next year. We have all our skill players back, so it should be another Wonderful season in 2008.

Tar Heels fend off tough
challenge from Davidson

It was a great game last night. I went to the game with a Tarheel friend of mine. The game reminded me of how much better it is to watch a football game in charlotte than a panthers game (I've been to 2 of those this year, unfortunately). Basketball is a beautiful game to watch, and except for the last few minutes, is full of non stop action.

In football, you have a play that lasts for a few seconds, then they take 40 seconds to run another play. You can get the refs to make a bad call, and you will get over 2 minutes of no action.

Last night, it was great to see a basketball game and see the difference with the panthers. The Davidson Wildcats and even the tarholes played with heart, passion, and desire. You did not feel that anyone on the court was not into the game and doing their best (see julius peppers). It even seemed to me that tyler hansborough was a little "moody" last night. I was kind of hoping to see gerald henderson come out of the stands and take care of his little attitude he seemed to have from the upper deck, section 211, row p, seat 10.

The crowd was a pro unc crowd, of course, and I was glad that the guy next to me was a cool unc fan (but the only one). It seemed that everyone else around me wanted a foul on every play, and unc did not commit any fouls the entire night in their opinion. I do know of a few DUKE fans like that also, but I want mention any names :)
I know for me, it takes something away from the game to whine about every play. Basketball fans should know that it is the toughest game to officiate and not complain for the entire 40 minutes. I thought the refs were actually doing a good job (I guess they were not from the ACC).

Scheyer, Duke rout New Mexico State!

It looks like we are going to be better than last year. We only scored 86 points twice all of last year, and we have already reached 86 in both games. The offense looks more like "DUKE" than we did last year, and I hope Coach K will continue to use 8-10 players for quality minutes.

Wonders beat St. Stephens to set up rematch with Catholic!

It's going to be nice to finally get to host Catholic for a playoff game. We have lost to them the past 2 years in the playoffs, at their place. They have a small stadium (only allowing visitors to bring a few fans) and parking is a nightmare. They should not be allowed to host state playoff games at such a small stadium.

I wish we were at full strength, and I hope that Louis (number 8) will be able to play next week, but it doesn't appear likely. I look forward to an exciting game.
